About Grapefruit: Grapefruit tree is a sub tropical evergreen tree which grows up to 5 to 6 meters tall. One day when someone saw the clutter of fruits hanging on the tree looking similar to grapes, it was named as grape fruit.

It was not long before the fruit moved to America and started being cultivated there. Today United States of America is the world’s leading producer of grapefruit and is followed by China, South Africa, Mexico, Syria, Israel, Turkey, India, Argentina and Cuba.
