About Lemongrass: Lemongrass is a kind of a perennial grass which has been native to Asian region and popularly used in cooking. This herb grows up to 3 feet in height and has thin and long green coloured leaves. Today more than 55 species of this grass are known to us. Lemongrass has a hint of ginger plus a more dominant lemony flavour in it. It is also known for its therapeutic properties and value attached to it. Thai and Vietnamese cuisine make most use of lemongrass. Because of it usage many people also grow this herb in pots in their house.

This essential oil has a sweet smell and is dark yellow to reddish in colour. The major chemical constituents of Lemongrass Oil include: myrcene, gernyl acetate, neral, limonene, citral, citronella, geraniol, etc.
